What Is an Appliance Connector?

An appliance connector is the short flexible line joining rigid gas piping to a movable appliance such as a range, dryer or grill. Connectors are rated for specific appliances and lengths, are not permitted to pass through walls or floors, and are not intended for reuse once disconnected.

Why it matters to you

Outdoor grill connections are the common case on the coast, where a connector lives in salt air and weather. Reusing an old connector when swapping an appliance is a frequent and avoidable fault.
