Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Airtech Mechanical Services, Inc., a North Carolina corporation with its principal place of business at 204 Kale Rd, New Bern, NC 28562 (“Airtech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information through the website located at https://www.airtechnc.com (the “Site”) and through the offline services we provide to residential and commercial customers in the Crystal Coast and Eastern North Carolina service area.

In this Policy, “personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular natural person or household, as that term is defined under applicable state privacy law (including the CCPA / CPRA).

2. Information we collect

We collect the categories of information described below.

2.1 Information you provide directly to us

Identifiers & contact details — your name, service and billing addresses, telephone number(s), and email address.
Service request & project information — a description of your comfort issue, equipment make / model / age, preferred appointment time, access notes, photographs you upload, and any other details you provide through a contact form, estimator, request-a-quote form, chat, or over the phone.
Financial information for financing applications — when you apply for financing through our third-party financing partner, you submit information (including a social-security number and income data) directly to that lender. Airtech does not collect or store your credit-application data on our own systems.
Payment information — when you pay an invoice by card, ACH, or check, your payment credentials are collected and processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor. Airtech receives only a confirmation of the transaction (last four digits, date, amount) and does not store full card numbers.
Employment applications — if you apply for a job, information you provide on the application (résumé, work history, references).
Communications — the content of emails, chat transcripts, text messages, and — where lawful and disclosed to you — recordings of phone calls made or received for training and quality-assurance purposes.

2.2 Information we collect automatically

Usage data — pages viewed, referring URL, approximate time on page, links clicked, search terms used on the Site.
Device & connection data — Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen size, language preference, and general geographic location inferred from IP.
Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies — see Section 7 for details and choices.

2.3 Information from third parties

Service providers — our scheduling / dispatch, CRM, review-management, and analytics providers report activity back to us (for example, that a lead submitted a form or that a job was completed).
Advertising partners — measurement data (for example, that an ad click resulted in a form submission).
Publicly available sources — county records, tax parcel data, and other publicly available sources used to confirm a service address.

3. How we use personal information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

To respond to your inquiries, schedule appointments, dispatch technicians, deliver written estimates and invoices, perform HVAC services, and follow up on completed work;
To register you for maintenance-plan memberships and warranty coverage, and to remind you about seasonal tune-ups you are entitled to;
To process payments and, if you choose, to route your financing application to a third-party lender;
To send you — with your consent where required — marketing and promotional messages by email, telephone, or SMS about our services, rebates, and seasonal promotions;
To operate, secure, monitor, debug, and improve the Site and our services;
To measure the effectiveness of our advertising, evaluate content performance, and improve conversion;
To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests from public authorities, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and protect our rights, property, and safety and those of our customers, employees, and the public;
To carry out corporate transactions such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law.

4. How we disclose personal information

We disclose personal information to the following categories of third parties, in each case only as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:

Website hosting & content delivery — infrastructure providers that host the Site and deliver assets;
Customer relationship management & lead-notification platforms — providers that route contact-form submissions to our dispatch team;
Dispatch, scheduling, and field-service platforms — the software our technicians use to accept, complete, and invoice work orders;
Payment processors — PCI-DSS-compliant card-payment and ACH processors;
Financing partners — the third-party consumer lender(s) we refer you to for financing (see Section 2.1 above);
Communications platforms — email delivery, SMS (A2P 10DLC) providers, call-recording and IVR providers;
Analytics providers — such as Google Analytics (GA4), for aggregated Site-usage measurement;
Advertising providers — such as Google Ads and Meta, for measurement, attribution, and conversion reporting;
Manufacturer / warranty partners — including Daikin, for equipment-registration and warranty administration;
Professional advisors — auditors, accountants, insurers, and attorneys, under confidentiality obligations;
Government agencies — as required by permit, inspection, licensing, tax, and other applicable law.

Do we sell or share your personal information?

No. We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA / CPRA), or under any other applicable state privacy law. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve (12) months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under the age of sixteen (16).

We do use analytics and advertising cookies to measure and attribute Site activity as described in Section 7. If a particular third-party cookie were ever deemed a “sale” or “share” under applicable state law, we honor a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as an opt-out request under that law.

5. Your state-law privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding personal information we hold about you. You may exercise these rights by emailing office@airtechnc.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or by calling (252) 636-5841. We will verify your identity in a manner appropriate to the sensitivity of the request and respond within the timeframe required by the applicable law.

5.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, use, disclose, and (if applicable) sell or share about you, the sources of that information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to statutory exceptions;
Right to correct inaccurate personal information;
Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
Right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (Airtech does not use sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right);
Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of these rights;
Authorized agents — you may designate an agent to make a request on your behalf; we will require written authorization and identity verification.

5.2 Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), and Oregon (OCPA) residents

If you are a resident of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, or Oregon, you may have the right to (i) confirm whether we process your personal data and access that data, (ii) correct inaccuracies, (iii) delete personal data, (iv) obtain a portable copy, and (v) opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling. You may exercise these rights through the contact points in Section 5 above. Where the applicable state law provides for it, you also have the right to appeal our decision on your request by replying to our response with the subject line “Privacy Appeal”; if the appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

5.3 Nevada residents

Under Nevada Revised Statutes 603A, Nevada residents may direct us not to sell certain covered personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined by that statute, but you may still submit a request through the contact points in Section 5.

6. SMS / text-message consent (TCPA & A2P 10DLC)

Airtech does not send you text messages unless you have expressly opted in.

Consent is express and unchecked. Our contact, estimate, and appointment forms include a separate, unchecked checkbox with the following language: “I agree to receive text messages from Airtech Mechanical Services, Inc. at the phone number provided about my service request, appointments, and — with my consent — promotions. Msg & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.”
Message frequency is typically 1–4 messages per month for transactional service updates and, if you also opt in to promotions, up to 2 additional promotional messages per month.
Cost — “Msg & data rates may apply.”
To opt out, reply STOP to any Airtech text; we will send a single confirmation and will not send further messages other than in response to a subsequent opt-in.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Consent is not required as a condition of purchase of any Airtech goods or services.

Airtech maintains records of your SMS opt-in (form field, date, time, IP, and consent language shown) in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC rules, and CTIA / A2P 10DLC best practices.

7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising choices

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies in three categories:

Strictly necessary — required for the Site to work (for example, remembering a cookie-consent choice, load balancing, form CSRF protection). These are set without a separate opt-in;
Analytics — for example, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) delivered through Google Tag Manager. We use aggregated analytics to understand how visitors use the Site and to improve it;
Advertising — for example, Google Ads and Meta Pixel, used to measure ad performance and, where enabled, to deliver ads to people who have previously visited the Site.

Consent. For visitors in regions where opt-in consent is required (the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), non-essential (analytics and advertising) cookies are not set until you accept them via our cookie banner. For all other visitors, non-essential cookies may be set by default when you arrive, consistent with the opt-out model used under U.S. state privacy law — and you can opt out at any time using the cookie banner or your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal (see below).

Global Privacy Control & Do Not Track. The Site honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out request under state law, in every region — not only where opt-in consent applies. When your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat analytics and advertising cookies as denied before any page content loads. We treat opt-out preference signals in a frictionless manner and do not require you to log in or take any additional action beyond turning on GPC in your browser.

Browser controls. You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Site to stop working.

Industry opt-outs. You can opt out of many interest-based advertising cookies at adssettings.google.com, optout.aboutads.info, and youradchoices.com.

8. Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete it. 9. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services you request; to comply with our legal, tax, warranty-administration, and record-retention obligations; to resolve disputes; and to enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and legal obligation; for example, we retain invoice and warranty records for the duration of the equipment warranty plus the statute-of-limitations period. When we no longer need personal information, we securely delete or anonymize it.

10. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we hold from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards include access controls, encryption in transit for form submissions, vendor due-diligence, and employee-training programs. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Third-party websites & services

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications (for example, Google Maps, our review-platform profiles, or financing partners). Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our Site, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, and other factors. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date below and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice on the Site. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
